PUZZLE CORNER

Puzzles have declined in popularity over the years, so this column appears only occasionally. Usually, it will feature intriguing questions, clever solutions, or an unusually noteworthy instance of one of the classical forms, such as double-dummy, inferential or construction puzzles.
