A Modified Long Suit Evaluator Updated

The point value of any four-card suit with honors can be calculated more easily by adding its 5-4-3-2-1-0.5 points [ace = 4, king = 3, queen = 2, jack = 1, ten = 0.5]. Below, a modification of the table in A Modified Long Suit Evaluator shows how closely the new values agree with the Four C's count obtained with Richard Pavlicek's algorithm for computing Four C's points. The total sum of 157.5 is only 2.71 less than the Four C's sum 160.21. Note that it requires no multiplication by length nor division nor any addition of two separate sums. The X and Y notations above columns K-P were used to calculate the linear regression correlation r as 0.993. The point values for honor cards can easily be altered to determine how they would change any 4-card suit.
